When the sun rises over San Francisco, it sometimes brings a burst of color that feels like a rally cry. "Rise of the Orange + Black" is an early morning ode to my hometown team, the San Francisco Giants. In this image, the Golden Gate Bridge stands silhouetted against an electric orange sky — a natural uniform for a city that lives and breathes baseball.


Shot just before sunrise, this piece captures the raw energy and quiet anticipation that defines both the dawn and the first pitch. A moment of calm before the city — and the team — rises to meet the day.
